RAMPFEST INDOOR SKATE PARK

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA

RampFest Melbourne opened in 2008 and quickly became a renowned indoor skateboard, BMX, and Scooter Park that provides the infrastructure and programming for progressive development of each discipline. Whether guests are training at an Olympic level, learning how to skate/ride/scoot, or just having fun, Rampfest has it all without compromising on quality of experience for each level of rider.

The business mission is to “promote and develop life-long participation in action sports” and it all comes down to programming to achieve this. Action Sports are rapidly gaining in popularity because you don’t have to stop enjoying them firsthand – you never become relegated to a mere spectator. Everything about the venue and the RampFest model is designed to engage patrons and support them on their journey to become life- long participants in skate, BMX, or scoot.

Adventure Park

PORIRUA, NEW ZEALAND

A downhill bike park and sightseeing attraction in Porirua, New Zealand is shovel-ready with all environmental and zoning approvals in place. This is a beautiful project in such a beautiful part of New Zealand and Unlock Adventures has been part of a team since day 1 to bring this project to fruition.

What it is:

  • All-weather sightseeing gondola with panoramic views of the North and South Islands
  • 360º view from top station, with awe inspiring views to the North from the restaurant, offering unique and quality F&B experiences.
  • The longest dual zipline in the Southern Hemisphere at 1,410m.
  • Scenic tracks from adventurous trekking to accessible pathways.
  • Purpose built lift accessed mountain bike trails for all abilities.
  • All associated amenities including base café, rentals, guiding, village infrastructure, programming options, event venues and helicopter base.

Very exciting that this project is now financed and is wrapping up detailed design with a likely opening in mid 2027.

Tweed Adventure Park

Scotland, United Kingdom

Already a mountain biking hotspot and with nearly 1-million residents within a 1-hour drive and 4.6 million within 2-hours, the Tweed Valley is the UK’s most striking opportunity for an adventure park project. Located roughly ten minutes from the most-used trail center in Scotland. With over 300,000 riders annually, this region will benefit hugely from domestic and international tourism for riders coming on multi-day trips.

Making this opportunity even more unique and exciting, the local government is developing a mountain bike innovation center close by, with downhill trails as an integral part of the offering for product development and professional rider testing.
Unlock Adventures has completed a full feasibility study and business plan which was well-received by the Scottish Government.

Currently, the land deal is being worked on with local stakeholders. Once the land deal is finalized, the project will proceed to detailed design to get through planning and then into construction.

Financing is in place for this project and Unlock Adventures is excited to be the founder developer of this project.

Northburn Adventures

Cromwell, New Zealand

Northburn Adventures is located above the John Bull Creek Canyon Phase on Northburn Station outside of Cromwell, New Zealand. The project is a unique cable-suspended platform offering a truly unique, fully accessible and family-friendly swing experience and a bungy jump experience.

It will be the first of its kind in the world. At over 200m above the valley floor, the swing and bungy offering will be the highest in Australasia. It will be firmly on the must do list for all adrenaline junkies coming to the Queenstown and Central Otago region. It will also be the world’s first suspended platform to offer both a swing and Bungy experience. Future expansion in a later phase might include an air park, mountain coaster and F&B. The Park is the first of its kind in the world with:

  • Biggest swing in Australasia with a radius of over 120m
  • Highest Bungy in Australasia at 190m
  • 365 days of the year operation

 

Financing is being sought for this project, Unlock Adventures has helped conceptualize the project and will be a small investor.
